Fun shoot with Karen Pickering

Had the opportunity to meet Karen Pickering MBE, amazing 8x world championship swimmer, who now runs her own swim schools across the country, the other day. Had a really fund shoot, thanks to Jonathan from TilstonPhillips Magazines for the organisation and Emile (for being the sun), Sue from Maison Talbooth- Milsoms for a beautiful venue and an amazing lunch and Gary from Ipswich Mercedes for the lovely SLK. Big thank you to Karen for the hard work and for entertaining us with your funny/scary/fascinating stories over lunch.

Some friends of mine are in a metal band called Welcome to Purgatory, they have not been together very long but are starting to cause a bit of a stir. We’ve been out to take some pictures the other day, which was hilarious and they have just found out that they gotten through the next stage of a talent contest called ‘Live and unsigned’ so they’ll be playing at the O2 on the 23rd July! Rags to Ritches Fashion Show in aid of St Helena Hospice!

Marie, Eve, Yitka and I had a fantastic time at the Rags to Ritches fashion show at Hadleigh Football Club on Friday. Got some really nice clothes at a bargain price and raised some money for St Helena Hospice at the same time. Got a beautiful dress for £3.50!

Thank you to Margaret from Fleming Marvellous for inviting us over, really great advice you gave us on the night on how to dress for ones shape, will definitely be applying those tips in the future!Click to view slideshow.

Not sure what the grand total raised was but I am sure a fabulous time was had by all, especially by anyone who tried the amazing brownies from The Essex Bakery!!!

Foggy Aldeburgh

Had my hubby’s sister, husband and kiddies stay over after Christmas and we had to go to the seaside to see some seagulls. Also the chippy at the end of the highstreet is one of the favourites when visiting us (any excuse to have fish and chips in Aldeburgh really). It was mega foggy and we could not even see the sea from the end of the beach, very spooky. Tried capturing the mood a bit and got some good shots of the boats and even one or two of the kiddies too!

WiRE Christmas Bazaar

Fab time was had by all at the WiRE Christmas Bazaar at The Grange Hotel in Thurston near Bury yesterday afternoon with yummy mince pies and some fabulous wares on offer to fill your stockings and get all pressies for christmas sorted out.

Charity Evening – Women for Women

Was invited to a really fun evening in aid of the Women for Women Charity, kindly hosted by Lesley and supporting Mary & Ann who are going to be cycling round China next year. They have to raise 3500 pounds each and then have 4.5 days to cycle 450km through China. Very noble task and I wish them all the best with their fundraising, they have until next May to train and get the funds together. Lots of local businesses like the bodyshop, Ann Summers, Natural Therapies, Elysium Beauty, Darcy B’s little mermaid, The Pampered chef set up shop at Lesley’s house and sold stuff like jewellery, jam & cakes, clothes, scarves and kitchen goodies, you could also get your nails done or have a massage. Fantastic evening and a raffle was held at the end with some gorgeous prizes like Chanel sunglasses, a clothes voucher, body shop treats and yoga and fitness classes. Click to view slideshow.
